Hear from Ali

We asked: What fictional character do you most identify with, and why?

Ali answered: What led me to this work has been a gradual realization that systems are not well designed to serve everyone. As a young tomboy, I was drawn to Xena, Warrior Princess, who seemed intent on showing that a woman could throw people across the room just as well as Hercules. While I tend not to throw people, I enjoy playing in my co-ed soccer league and working with people to interrogate assumptions.
