Elena is a Field Practicum Intern with Student Success Network. She is currently completing her senior year at Mercy University, majoring in Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice. In 2021, Elena served with AmeriCorps, where she taught, mentored, and facilitated programs for middle school students in the South Bronx. Through this experience, she discovered her passion for social work and her commitment to advancing equity and opportunity for youth.
At Student Success Network, Elena supports the team in youth engagement, research, and digital communications. She is dedicated to learning from the Network’s collaborative approach and contributing to its mission of strengthening outcomes for young people across New York City.

We asked: Outside of your career, what is your proudest achievement?
Elena answered: My proudest achievement is becoming “Titi Elena.” I adore my four-year-old nephew and take great joy in being part of his life—cheering him on, spoiling him, and watching him grow.
